Well-functioning teams have several things in common:

  • The team members work well together – the shared vision and cooperative spirit keeps the momentum going.
  • As a result, they are sustainable


The factors that create such high-performing teams are not a mystery; in fact, a great deal of research makes it clear that the competencies that support these teams fall in two categories:


Productivity  strengths support the team to achieve results, accomplish tasks, and stay on course to reach goals and objectives.


Positivity  strengths focus on the relationships between team members and the spirit or tone of the team as a system. 




Using data collected over ten years with more than 1,000 teams worldwide, this approach developed by TCI (Team Coaching International) has a proven track record of 20% improvement in the 14 Team Performance Indicators (TPI) listed above.


Since real improvement in business metrics is what matters most, my approach includes focusing on the key competencies the team wants to develop while simultaneously working on real business goals.
